*Nuclear atypia and §Architectural atypia were the subcategory of atypia/follicular lesion of undetermined significance (AUS/FLUS) of The Bethesda System for Reporting Thyroid Cytopathology. *Nuclear atypia demonstrated the presence of occasional nuclear grooves, abnormal chromatin patterns, or nuclear overlapping and crowding, those being anomalous findings within individual cells. §Architectural atypia was used for cases that demonstrated low cellularity with a predominantly microfollicular pattern and no or minimal colloids.
